The Office
The
notarial firm of Mr M.J. Meijer c.s., notarissen carries on a general
practice comprising the following three client-oriented sectors:
Corporate Law, Real Estate and Private & Family Law.
Since
1909 Mr M.J. Meijer c.s., notarissen has been operating from its three
adjoining period premises on Keizersgracht (the Emperor’s Canal) in
central Amsterdam, which feature a permanent exhibition of paintings by
Martin Monnickendam (1874 1943). Reminiscent of times past as the
imposing period properties on nos. 695, 697 and 699 Keizersgracht are,
they nevertheless house a most dynamic practice which owing to its
state-of-the-art automation enables us to work promptly and efficiently.
The
relatively modest size of our notarial practice, which as one of only a
handful in Amsterdam is not associated with a general solicitor’s
practice, puts us in the best possible position to operate decisively
both nationally and internationally, with good working knowledge of
English, French, German and Spanish.
Long Standing Tradition
Our notarial practice has been based at its Keizersgracht address since 1909.
A
total of ten civil-law notaries have worked here, four of whom continue
to this day to put their noses to the daily notarial grindstone.
Our centenary has been celebrated in 2009. We also published a booklet about the history of our notarial practice. You can order this booklet via info@meijernotarissen.nl. The costs are €5,--, postage inclusive.
